Ducati Increases Support for Riders Competing in America’s Longest Off-Road Race
Reno, NV, May 29th -- As attention turns toward the legendary Casey Folks Vegas to Reno — the longest off-road race in the United States — Ducati North America is expanding its Ducati Race Rewards contingency program for the historic 30th Anniversary edition of the event.
The 2026 Casey Folks Vegas to Reno — “The Other Way” — will mark the first time in the race’s history that competitors will tackle the iconic Nevada desert course in reverse direction, creating an entirely new challenge for racers, teams, and manufacturers alike.
Designed to support racers across multiple levels of competition, Ducati’s expanding contingency program will offer meaningful payouts in several motorcycle classes during Vegas to Reno. Ducati will award up to $5,000 to the Open Pro class winner and will also pay contingency to podium finishers in the Open Pro, Open Expert, and Open Amateur motorcycle classes.
The expanded program reinforces Ducati’s growing commitment to off-road racing and the riders competing in one of the toughest endurance races in the world.
“To see Ducati continuing to invest more in desert racing and directly support riders at Vegas to Reno is a huge win for the sport,” said Matt Martelli, CEO of Unlimited Off-Road Racing. “This race has always been about pushing both racers and machines to the limit, and having manufacturers like Ducati step up with contingency and factory support adds even more value for competitors.”
To further support Ducati racers during the event, Ducati will provide complimentary onsite factory assistance throughout Vegas to Reno. Support services will include technical setup assistance, pre-technical inspection support, fluids, and race-day resources from Ducati’s factory service team, including support at the race midpoint for participating Ducati riders.
In addition, Ducati has received further support from Pirelli to help ensure riders have the tire performance needed to take on the demanding Nevada desert terrain.
“Vegas to Reno is one of the most historically important and uniquely demanding off-road races in the world,” said Jason Chinnock, CEO of Ducati North America. “Its distance, elevation changes, terrain, and brutal desert heat create the ultimate proving ground for both riders and machines. Desert off-road racing serves as an incredible product development and communication platform for the Ducati Desmo450 EDX, which is why we are committed to supporting the independent racers with contingency and race support. We’re excited to be part of this iconic event and the historic 30th Anniversary of Vegas to Reno — ‘The Other Way.’”
The 30th Anniversary Casey Folks Vegas to Reno — “The Other Way” — will take place August 12–15, 2026, beginning in downtown Reno with the official Off-Road Festival surrounding the host J Resort before racers head south across more than 500 miles of Nevada desert to the finish line in Las Vegas.
