BlueWater Resort Parker “425” Presented by Jimco Racing and “Pre-Fun Run” Weekend Open to Racers and General Public Kicks off Best In The Desert’s 2021 Season

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LAS VEGAS, NV (Dec. 8, 2020): There are plenty of reasons to look forward to 2021, especially for off-road racers and enthusiasts. Best In The Desert’s BlueWater Resort Parker “425” Presented by Jimco Racing  “Pre-Fun Run” will start the year off strong on January 8-10, 2021 in Parker, Arizona. The course will be open to registered Parker 425 race teams on Saturday, January 9, 2021, and Parker 250 race teams and to the general public on Sunday, January 10, 2021, to give newcomers the chance to see and experience the legendary Best In The Desert racecourse. The “Pre-Fun Run” will precede the official BlueWater Resort Parker “425” Presented by Jimco Racing on January 13-16, 2021.  

Best In The Desert’s Parker 425 has a long, rich history in picturesque Parker, Arizona with the course running alongside the mighty Colorado River. Fans and racers can expect the same grueling course with famous challenges like the Parker Python, Osbourne Wash, the Rock Pile, and the Crossover. With an interesting new twist to the series schedule, this year’s BlueWater Resort Parker “425” Presented by Jimco Racing will be the first race of the Best In The Desert 2021 series as well as the first round of the highly-coveted 2021 Maxxis Triple Crown series. Racing on the punishing, yet scenic, 425-mile course is expected to be fierce as competitors are hungry to start the year on top.    

All the top racers from the off-road racing world are likely to compete over two full days of racing Friday and Saturday, January 15 and 16, 2021, with the highly-anticipated Trick Truck, Class 6100, and Class 1500, race teams battling it out on Saturday, January 16, 2021.     

The race is open to off-road cars and trucks with registration open now and running through January 10, 2021. The drawing for starting positions is set for December 28, 2020. Interested racers should begin to make travel plans and can enter the competition here.

While 2020 was a tumultuous year for many racing organizations with event cancellations and race postponements, Best In The Desert still managed to set records and organize safe, successful events, showing the Association’s resilience and adaptability. If 2020 was any example, Best In The Desert’s 2021 series is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever.

“I am really excited about the start of the 2021 season. We have done a revamp on our opening rounds in Parker with additions to the Pre-Fun Run, which now will allow the Parker 250 participants a chance to see the racecourse, as well as offering the public a chance to see what the racers go through on their grueling day of racing. Additionally, we swapped dates to allow us to get further away from other racing venues. Next year should be one for the ages and we are excited to be able to bring everyone out of the shadows and into the light.
