LAUGHLIN DESERT CLASSIC  IS ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY!

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR MEDIA
CREDENTIALS IS OCTOBER 7TH

Media Credential Requests for all media, including for media representing race teams, are now being accepted for the 2024 Best In The Desert King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Baja designs. We must receive your application no later than October 7th for you to be considered.

You will be required to have a BITD numbered Best In The Desert Media vest. If you purchased a BITD vest for Vegas to Reno, let us know the number when you register for credentials. If you do not have a vest from Vegas to Reno, you will be required to purchase one for $40. Vehicle flags are also required by the BLM for this race. BITD flags are $20.

CREDENTIAL REQUESTS ACCEPTED.

IMPORTANT NOTE – EVEN IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT COMING, PUT IN YOUR APPLICATION NOW. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNLESS YOU ARE ACTUALLY COMING TO THE EVENT.

Once submitted through the Best In The Desert website, media credential requests will be reviewed and a response sent.

RACE TEAMS – If you plan on hiring a professional photographer/ videographer to cover your team, there will be NO LATE, ON-SITE Media Credential Requests accepted. Team Media Credentials must be requested by your photographer/videographer online by the August 4 deadline to be considered. You must also provide your photographer/videographer with a signed letter of assignment that needs to be submitted along with their credentials request form.

RACE TEAMS – In the interest of fairness to all race teams, NO RACE TEAM PERSONNEL are eligible for Media Credentials allowing them access to the racecourse.

USE OF DRONES – Be advised that individuals must register a drone with Best In The Desert by October 7th. All registered Media that will be utilizing a drone for filming, must submit a Drone Registration Form prior to the event and participate in the Helicopter and Drone Safety Meeting prior to race day to ensure safety of all involved. Unregistered Drones and Operators will not be permitted. Only FAA Registered Operators will be permitted to operate.

FB & IG POSTING – As we strive to expand coverage of Best In The Desert events, we strongly encourage and rely on your participation in sharing images and videos during and after the race. As a requirement for Media Credentials, we ask that each member of the Media provides BITD with a minimum of 6 still photographs or, if you are a Videographer, five short clips within 14 days of the Event. When we feature your content on social media platforms, we want you to know that we will tag and credit you appropriately.
