BEST IN THE DESERT PRO PRODUCTION TURBO UTV CLASS
Responds to Recent New OEM Product Offerings

LAS VEGAS, NV (Oct. 30th, 2019) –  Best In The Desert, the largest off-road racing series in North America, reaffirms its position on Pro Production Turbo UTV class structure, in response to new models recently announced by some UTV manufacturers.

“As the leader in UTV racing,  Best In The Desert always strives to put racers’ interests first while creating opportunities for participation by every manufacturer looking to compete in this rapidly growing segment of the sport. We have worked very hard to respond to changing market forces while maintaining racing platforms that our racers and UTV manufacturers can count on to plan their racing and product development programs for “The American Off-Road Racing Series,” said Race Operations Manager Donald Jackson.

Best In The Desert Pro Production Turbo UTV Class definition:
Pro Turbo Production Class vehicles must come with a turbocharger as OEM standard equipment, manufactured by registered companies with confirmed Vin #’s. Companies must produce a minimum number of 1000 built with the same specifications and configuration before being allowed to participate in this class, at any Best In the Desert Sanctioned Event. These rules have been established to give every manufacturer clear direction in their development efforts with some of these points as criteria:

• It ensures a level playing field for every manufacturer and a predictable path forward for development. The same rules apply to everyone.
• It gives our racers the appropriate guidelines from which to determine the classes they choose to compete in.
• It protects the investments that current racers have already made in racing equipment based on the class structure in place.

For those UTVs that do not qualify for Best In The Desert Pro Production Turbo class rules, Best In The Desert offers the highly competitive Pro Unlimited class and Pro NA classes. These are Pro classes that offer highly competitive racing, contingency, class payback, and a Year-End Class Championship for competing in “The American Off-Road Racing Series.”
