A New Chapter Begins for Best In The Desert Racing Set for May 5-8, 2016

When Casey Folks first announced the addition of the of the Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Canidae Tap It event to the 2016 racing schedule at Vegas to Reno last year, it was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from the racers. Ever since then, the excitement and anticipation has been growing at a frenetic pace. The entire off-road racing community can’t seem to wait for Best In The Desert to bring their exceptionally high level of exciting desert racing and professionalism to Laughlin, Nevada. This special kind of passion and enthusiasm from racers is what helps make Best In The Desert North America’s largest off-road racing organization.

In the past, some of the most famous names in off-road racing history left their mark on competing in Laughlin. Now, Best In The Desert’s Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Canidae Tap It will rekindle the excitement that once was and take it to a new level. This race will also be the third leg in Best In The Desert’s 2016 Trick Truck Challenge featuring 29 of the world’s top Trick Truck drivers, including defending champ Rob MacCachren, Andy McMillin, Jason Voss, Dan McMillin, Lalo Laguna, Luke McMIllin, Steve Olliges, Troy Herbst and more. With $174,000 up for grabs during the course of the year, the Trick Truck Challenge is a special “side bet competition” within the regular Trick Truck class series. An additional year-end bonus will be awarded to the overall champion thanks to Trick Truck Challenge sponsors Jimco Racing, Geiser Bros., Mastercraft, Racer Engineering, Bunderson Racing, KC HiLiTES, FOX, King Shocks, Kroyer Racing Engines, Patton Racing Engines, Dougans Racing Engines, Wiks Racing Engines and Method Race Wheels.

The Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Canidae Tap It will see a nearly week-long series of special events leading up to Saturday’s and Sunday’s loop style races showcasing Car, Truck and UTV classes running on a technical and challenging 16-mile racecourse. The racecourse will feature several miles of new desert terrain that has never before been utilized in a Laughlin racing event. From Wednesday, May 4, thru Sunday May 8, the action and excitement will never stop.
