Bryan Folks, BITD CEO, said, “With the tremendous success and positive feedback we received from our Casey Folks Vegas to Reno race, we wanted to keep the momentum going, and make some major upgrades to our King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Baja Designs. The King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Baja Designs has traditionally been a two-day race event. However, we felt this event deserved some exciting, meaningful changes. We have always loved racing in Laughlin due to the different type of racing, entertainment opportunities and the infrastructure the city of Laughlin has to offer our racing community.

For the first time ever, BITD will be holding Friday Night Racing in the Laughlin Event Center. At 7PM sharp, the Class 11 VW race teams will race around a 2.5 mile racecourse in the infield with optimum lighting, on a fully groomed and watered course. See details on the Class 11 VW race below. This race will be followed by a UTV short course race.

Saturday will feature the main show with all classes competing in one day of racing. Most classes will race during the day, with Trick Trucks, Unlimited Cars and 6100 Spec Trucks competing in the night show. There is nothing better than watching a Trick Truck hit the Needles Highway road jump at 115 MPH, so we decided to see what it looks like at night. However, do not fear. Racers will do the same number of laps in one day that they previously did in two days, and the racecourse is sure to be as challenging as ever.
