Maxxis Tires Joins the American Off-Road Racing Championship as a Supporting Sponsor
Posted December 20, 2025

Continuing its commitment to off-road racing, Maxxis Tires has come on board the newly formed American Off-Road Racing Championship (AORC) as a supporting sponsor. The American Off-Road Racing Championship combines the two largest sanctioning bodies—Unlimited Off-Road Racing (UNLTD) and Best in the Desert (BITD)—into a single five-race points championship.

“We’re excited to have Maxxis back as a partner for the 2026 season,” said Matt Martelli, CEO of the American Off-Road Racing Championship. “Maxxis has long understood the importance of off-road racing—not only as a proving ground for product development, but also as a powerful marketing platform. Their continued support of racers and events underscores a deep commitment to pushing the sport of off-road racing forward.”

Since its founding more than 50 years ago, Maxxis International has been dedicated to producing tires that riders and drivers can trust for quality and performance. That trust extends from everyday consumers to professional drivers and riders who rely on Maxxis tires to win world and national championships, Olympic medals, and more.

A market leader in performance tires, Maxxis manufactures products for off-road racing, light trucks and SUVs, UTVs, and motorcycles. The brand has long been a committed supporter of off-road racing events and the racers who compete in them, including ongoing support of the entire field through a robust contingency program.

“Racing for us isn’t just about competition—it’s the proving ground and development platform for our tires. Everything we learn on the racecourse transfers directly to the products we build for racers and consumers. Being part of this new unified league puts our industry on a more professional and efficient path, paving the way for the growth we all want. We’re excited to be involved and have some big announcements coming that we’re excited to share,” stated Rossy De La Cruz, Maxxis Tires Automotive Sales and Sponsorship.
Maxxis Tires will be on-site at all American Off-Road Racing Championship events this year, supporting the races and showcasing their full line of products. Be sure to stop by and see what Maxxis has to offer.

About American Off-Road Racing Championship
The American Off-Road Racing Championship (AORC) is the premier desert off-road racing league in North America, created through the unification of Best in the Desert (BITD) and Unlimited Off-Road Racing (UNLTD).
Best in the Desert, founded in 1984 by legendary racer Casey Folks, is the longest-running and most respected off-road racing series in the U.S., with a legacy that includes iconic events like Vegas to Reno, the Silver State 300, the Parker 425, and the Laughlin Desert Classic.
Unlimited Off-Road Racing, established by the Martelli Brothers in 2023, produces world-class events such as The Mint 400, The California 300, and The Parker 400. UNLTD is recognized for its focus on innovation, storytelling, and large-scale racer participation, with events known for high car counts, challenging courses, pre-running, and family-friendly fan experiences near major markets.
Together under the AORC banner, BITD and UNLTD preserve the heritage of desert racing while building its future—offering racers, sponsors, and fans a unified championship built on clarity, consistency, and world-class competition.
