DUEL IN THE DESERT

A prestigious off-road racing event that has been held in Laughlin, Nevada since 1997. The event is hosted by the Best in the Desert Racing Association and features some of the worlds best Trick Truck, UTV’s and motorcycle racers. The event has been won by some of the biggest names in off-road racing, including Rob MacCachren, Andy McMillin, and Bryce Menzies. This event is partnered with both The “Las Vegas Events” group as well as the Laughlin City Tourism and Commission.

THIS RACE SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18th, AFTER REGISTRATION.  IT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY VEHICLES ARE IN EACH RACE AFTER REGISTRATION AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  THE FINAL SCHEDULE WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE DRIVERS MEETING AT 4:00 PM.  WE REALIZE MANY OF YOU ARE RACING TWO (2) VEHICLES, AND WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO STAY WITH THIS SCHEDULE.

12:00 PM – Staging Race 3 – ALL UTV’s

3:00 PM – Staging Race 4 – Classes 6200, 4400, 1000, 8000, 4700

3:30 PM – Race #4 Starts – 8 Laps with GP Finish

 

6:30 PM – Staging Race 5- Trick Truck, Unlimited Cars & 6100 Spec Truck

7:00 PM – Race #5 Starts8 Laps with GP Finish

RACE INFORMATION
  • Race Area in Laughlin, NV
  • 17-mile racecourse
    • Loop race
  • Main Pit at Start/Finish Line in Laughlin
    • (1) hot pit
  • 1 day of racing
    • Gran Prix Finish
      • Race ends when overall leader crosses the finish line
      • Must complete 50% laps to be finisher
  • Event Expo, driver/rider registration and tech inspection located in Laughlin
  • Time Trials in main pit area for select classes

Online Registration Is NOW OPEN! Please read below for crucial steps to follow for the registration process!  

  •  Racer Registration :
    • The link to register can be found above or by clicking HERE.
    • After registering, each entrant must complete the Racer Liability Form online by October 10th, 2024. This can be filled out by clicking HERE.
    • The draw for starting positions will be on October 2nd, 2024!
    • Online pre-registration will be open until October 11th, 2024
    • Walk-Ins are welcome. However, all walk-in entries must pay a $100 on-site fee.
  • Race Vehicle Numbers can be obtained by calling the office at (702) 457-5775 or emailing bitd@bitd.com  with your preferred class. Please see the Rulebooks posted online to ensure you have the proper number for your class! 
  • If you need to add or remove a team member not originally included on your entry form, please email the office at bitd@bitd.com to have this updated before the On-site Registration. 
        • Please include name, birthday, address, emergency contact info & shirt size. 
  • Pit Waivers
    • Each person on your pit support team must sign individually online by clicking HERE by October 11th, 2024.
    • At registration, each race team will be given only the number of wristbands as they have liability forms filled out. If this process has not been completed before registration, you must bring a screenshot or a printed copy of your team’s completed waivers. These can be found in an email confirmation. No exceptions.

After you’ve filled the form out, be sure to sign the Online waiver by clicking here: Volunteer Liability Waiver 

Our Race Director will call you shortly to get you into the best seat in the house: a spot on the course!  A mandatory Volunteer Meeting will be held over Zoom on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The link will be sent out with your course position on Friday, October 11th.. 

For your participation, you will receive an event T-shirt, special event coin, stickers, and more swag!

 

RacingTrax.com – Register for your tracking unit TODAY. On the same day, the on-site registration late fee is $25. This unit is MANDATORY FOR ALL Car/Truck/Adult UTV/MC & ATV Classes. This is separate from your transponder. You will pick up the unit on-site, and they will install it if you need a bracket order today so you can install it before the event.
